During World War I, there was an extraordinary spontaneous truce that’s known as the Christmas Truce. Now, this peace didn’t last long, and of course, Germany would eventually lose the war. But for a brief time, in the middle of the war, there was a night of peace centered on the birth of Jesus. Jesus brings us peace, and if we could center our lives on Jesus, we would have peace.
Ephesians 4:2-3 says:
with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, making every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.
We are united by the Spirit of God! God calls us to peace. And we have that peace as we trust in Jesus.
