Grace through the Cross

Grace through the Cross

We've had our logo for a few years now. We put it on our bulletins, on our website, we even ordered a huge metal version of it and fixed it to the side of our church building. Grace is Good

Grace is Good

A few years back, our church wanted to get a shorter domain name. We actually had two domain names at the time (gracebaptistchurchnokomisil.org and gracebaptistchurchsbc.org), which both pointed to the same website. But both were long and not exactly easy to share. Why the VBS Clinic is a Good Thing

Tomorrow night, we'll head to FBC Brownstown to attend our local association's VBS Clinic. Pastor Chris will teach a class on follow up and involving the whole church in VBS, and Nancy Hill will teach a class on teaching third and fourth graders. There will be many other breakout sessions to choose from, ranging from leading the music to leading children to Christ. Plus, everyone who comes gets to sample the snacks! But the VBS Clinic is about more than just learning the songs and tasting the treats. The VBS Clinic is even about more…continue reading →

We’re Celebrating April Birthdays!

After a brief worship service tomorrow night, we'll be celebrating birthdays that fall in the month of April. We'll have cake, ice cream, coffee punch, and a lot of laughs. All are welcome! We do this because we're a family. The church is the family of God. When we believed in Christ, we became "children of God" (John 1:12). We're of "the household of faith" (Galatians 6:10) and "the household of God" (Ephesians 2:19). And Jesus said, "whoever does the will of God, he is my brother and sister and mother" (Mark 3:35).…continue reading →
