A Lesson on Doing the Dishes (Luke 11:37-41)

Most of us recognize that we’re deeply flawed. We’ve sinned against God. We’re dirty. So most of us also know that we need to be cleansed. But we often take up the task for ourselves. We try to clean ourselves up so that God will accept us. But that’s like trying to clean off the dirt with more dirt. We need to be cleansed from within, which is not our work, but God’s work in us.
