We like to think that God rewards us for our goodness, and that God punishes wicked people for their wickedness. But thinking that way ignores the truth that we’ve all been wicked, and that we all deserve the fate of the wicked. But the good news is that God’s patience and kindness leads us to repentance, even toward us who deserve His wrath.
