The Exciting Message of Grace

The Bible paints an exciting message about God’s grace.

“The grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation for all people.” (Titus 2:11)

“By grace, you have been saved through faith.” (Ephesians 2:8)

“My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” (2 Corinthians 12:9)

“My child, be strengthened by the grace that is in Christ Jesus.” (2 Timothy 2:1)

“Sin will have no dominion over you, since you are not under law but under grace.” (Romans 6:14)

From these verses alone, we learn that salvation is available to all people through faith in Jesus Christ, and that no one is so bad that they are unforgivable by God. Not only that, God strengthens all who trust in Jesus Christ, and we’re then able to live truly free lives to the glory of God because we’re no longer in bondage to our sin.

This is all possible only because of the grace of God.

We can’t earn salvation. We can’t find strength to live in ourselves. We can’t be truly free unless we receive the grace of God.

And as we’ve already seen, God’s grace is available to all people. It’s available to all the people in Nokomis, where our church is located. It’s available to all the people in every surrounding town, in Witt, Irving, Ohlman, Rosamond, Owaneco, Coalton, and Fillmore. It’s available to every person in Illinois, and every person in the United States, and every person in the world.

And, as Ephesians 2:8 says, God’s grace is received through faith. That is, faith in Jesus Christ. As it says in Acts 16:31, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved.”
